How it works
SocialPrice is an application that works with eCommerce platforms to give merchants the ability to offer the social buying experience and group discounts on their site.
With this system, merchants can choose to offer group discounts on selected items, categories of items, or the whole store.
For example, if a product is usually listed for $10, the merchant can initiate SocialPrice which stipulates that if a minimum of 20 units are sold the price will be $8.
Customers sign up to choose which items on group discount to watch, they receive suggestions to invite other friends to join the group buy, they are sent reminders as the deadline comes to a close, and finally they receive a congratulatory confirmation when the conditions for the discount are met and the sale is final.
The discount and sales are triggered automatically once the specified number of buyers have committed to the sale.
